Susan Jennifer Polese, Playwright
Susan Jennifer Polese is an award-winning playwright whose work illuminates social issues. Her plays have been up at LaMama Experiential Theatre Club, The Midtown International Theatre Festival, HERE Performing Arts Center and Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. She has studied playwriting at Hunter College under Romulus Linney and at Herbert Berghof Studio. She's taught playwriting to children through Purchase College, and has been a member of and taught with Axial Theatre Company. Susan attended the La Mama International Playwright Retreat in Umbria, Italy. She is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild.

A cop enters a house he’s never been in and is met by a woman he doesn’t know. Struggle has happened here, terrible events happened here. He has a job to do. She is trying to survive. A familiarity builds between the two and is shaped forever by her husband's arrival.
The play has been nominated for Planet Connections Festivity awards in these categories: Outstanding Production of a Staged Reading, Outstanding Playwriting of a Staged Reading, Outstanding Actress in a Staged Reading. Neil Pritchard won for Outstanding Actor in a Staged Reading.
