Mindful Counseling & Coaching

All are welcome in my office!

As a licensed, nationally-certified professional counselor, I can help you with anxiety, life transitions and depression. I am a holistic counselor who uses positive psychology to help you make room for difficult emotions, manage stress effectively and live the life you want. I have experience in hospitals, social services agencies and family clinics - in each of these settings I have developed a caring approach that focuses on your healing and empowerment. I specialize in LGBTQI (and non labeling) clients. I am listed as a mental health provider through True Colors, Sexual Minority Youth & Family Services of Connecticut.

Through Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) you can achieve relief and happiness. You can recover from traumas that adversely affect you. Trauma is any event that causes high emotional distress having a long lasting negative effect on a person. These experiences can be processed in session in a safe, supportive environment.

I have a variety of approaches in my counselor tool-box. I offer therapy utilizing mindfulness, meditation, art and writing. Talk therapy and practical problem solving will also be valuable in our sessions together. I see our relationship as the primary healing tool - leading toward your personal empowerment and fulfillment.

Embodied Experimental Dreamwork

I am a certified Embodied Experimental Dreamwork Therapist. Dream therapy is the process of unraveling what dreams mean in relation to our waking lives. It is a collaborative process that can lead to expanded awareness, alleviation of anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other issues. The aim of dream therapy is not to come to an interpretation of a given dream, but to find meaning, usability, and emotional substance for the client through their dreams. This is used in conjunction with counseling and coaching. Contact us for more information.
